I understand you need to be in a calorie surplus to gain muscle but I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around the amount of macros I need based on my height and weight. I am doing meal plan 3. So someone who weighs more than 151 lbs eats the same macros as say someone who is 300lbs? That just doesn’t seem right. Please help.October 21, 2018 at 4:01 am #204496
Hey there- I totally understand why this may be confusing, but the meal plans should mainly be based on height, not weight. So if you have one person who is 5’6 and weighs 150lbs, eating meal plan 3, then another person who is 5’6 and weighs 300lbs, eating meal plan 3, both people should see dramatic changes.
You don’t want the person who weighs 300lbs eating MORE calories and macros, since that wouldn’t allow for much change. The more you weigh, the more you have to lose. Since this is a muscle-building program, the calories and macros are created as such based on an average height and weight range.
