    Can I ask, in the demo video Nicole puts the barbell down to the floor between reps. Does this make it harder than constantly holding it off the ground.

    Yep, it increases the intensity of the exercise because you have to keep picking it back up, which recruits more muscles than constantly holding it. I recommend doing it the way Nicole shows in the demo vide.
