ParticipantHi Everyone! It’s so cool to see where everyone is from and what they do. I’m from Belleville, MI – somewhat near Ann Arbor, and work as a finance/accounting manager for an auto company. My friend Randi and I are taking on this challenge together. So excited to see what we look like in 45 days 🙂

ParticipantHi Nicole! I was wondering is you have ever experienced “glycemic drops”? I follow a very consistent diet, typical body building. I track and measure everything, allowing a cheat meal every 10 days or so. Every now and then I have what I call a glycemic drop – where I start to feel a little shakey, anxious, and then starving. Which can often lead to a short but potentially damaging binge session. I’ve started tracking these drops to see if I can identify any correlations. I’ve had them after a hard workout, during rest days, on low carb, and high carb days – so I don’t think they are necessarily food or activity related. The one thing I have correlated is that they seem to occur around my monthly cycle, but not every month. When I feel one coming on I try to eat right away to get in front of it and not end up binging. I have also had my blood sugar tested to make sure I’m not diabetic, tests came back OK. Have you ever had these? Any ideas on why they happen? Do you have any recommendations for foods that I could eat when this happens that wouldn’t derail my diet? Thank you!!
