Hello everyone, I too am on a crazy night schedule. I am a former police officer that decided to go into the medical field. This is the first time in my career being on a night shift and trying to figure the best eating schedule is hard. As soon as I get up within the first hour I try to have a meal replacement shack. This helps get a good protein in my system to start my day. Then I try my best to eat every 3 hours which can be very hard but meal prepping is totally the key. Especially if you can do meals that are either hot or cold. I have found that to help a bit. I do most of my training at 2-230 in the am pretty much m-f or sometimes take one day off during the week and do Saturdays. If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know. Knowledge is the key to everything including fitness.

btw I am super excited. if anyone is in the Houston/Huntsville area and wants to train together please let me know. I could always use someone to help keep me motivated and accountable. Good luck on your fitness journey ladies and gents. 🙂

    Hi Nicole,
I really in enjoy your Q&A. thank you for taking the time to do these. My question is that I have been working out for about a year very hard and can not grow in my legs (due to pain from playing sports all my life) nor loss in my waist I am 5′ 8″ weigh about 127 and really want to get in great shape to do a competition this year. I have tried several trainers and felt like I would never reach my goal. what can I do myself to get there or do you have any ideas. I do have a job that is very busy I sometimes work 6 10-12 hour days. HELP

    Hi Nicole,
I enjoy looking through your site. I would like to ask a I have been working out for a year now and to this day still hate doing legs due to so much discomfort in my knees. Can you give some different ideas for works that are not so rough on the knee?

also, even after a year of training I still can not lose the waist any ideas on what I should do?

    Nicole,
I have knee pain as I am getting older for many years I played basketball and other sports that are hard on the knees. Is there something I can do to strengthen my knees so that leg workouts don’t kill my knees?
