    I have back problems as well (Scoliosis) and was advised the same advice. I do front squats or goblet squat with a dumbbell or kettlebell. For deadlifts, I do supermans or hyperextensions and just be careful not to over extend. I’ve tried to do deadlifts with no weight at all just to “go through the motions” and it was a no-go for me lol.
