I made the peanut butter, almond and date protein bars and they are fabulous! I can not detect the dates at all! It’s a metamorphic creation. 👍

I am in a similar scenario to you tracet21. This time I am allowing myself to lift first thing in the morning on the days that I work, even if this means that I will be training on an empty stomach. In the past I’ve had the mindset that I MUST have a few meals in me in order to train/lift, but I think that mindset has been something that has held me back. I hope that by taking a different approach, I will be able to be more successful at getting in as much of the entire program as I possibly can! I am taking the opportunity to get the cardio sessions in later in the day (after work). All a matter of preference!
    Best to you.

I’ve been servin’ up an easy combination of 1 cup egg whites with one serving of greens from my planter box, usually a combination of Swiss chard and spinach, cooked in 1/2 serving olive oil, topped with 1 1/2 servings of avocado plus a starchy carb, like oat bran. This aligns with the breakdowns in WMP 2: M 1, O 1 in case you want to compare.

Yes, it’s from the previous NW Challenge. I added juice and zest of a whole lemon to give it a lemony twist!

For what it’s worth, you may enjoy this herbal tea recipe by Rosemary Gladstar.

    High C Tea –
Rose hips and Hibiscus provide lots of Vitamin C and it has a beautiful color and flavor when steeped. It can be served hot or cold.

    1 Tbsp Cinnamon chips
    2 Tbsp Lemongrass
    3 Tbsp Hibiscus
    3-4 Tbsp Rose Hips
    1/2 Tbsp dried Orange peel
    1 Tbsp Spearmint.
Mix together and store in airtight container. Steep 1 Tbsp in 1 cup hot water per serving for 10-15 min.

Thank you, m.bruns. I hadn’t been doing them with the feet elevated. I think that this will make a nice difference in the Rep quality. 🙂

For meal 4, I did 4 oz. boneless, skinless chicken thighs, with roasted beets and red onions, alongside ginger sweet potato lentil stew.

I found organic dried mango and organic dried apricots without added sugar at Wegman’s and they are both fantastic!!

My gym does not have a leg Press machine, but does have a Smith Machine, so I was able to do the Leg press by lying on the floor beneath the Smith Machine and using that as an alternative for the Leg press. It’s been something that I’ve wanted to do for a while, but felt a little intimidated about trying it, but I’m so glad that I did because it was so much fun!
