ParticipantYep Wendy! You got it!! Except for the post workout meal. You could eat meal #2 every meal of the day if you want. The macros are the same for all of the meal options. You could have breakfast all day if you choose to. Lol! Good luck!!!!

ParticipantIt’s a carton of egg WHITES. You can’t get a WHOLE egg out of whites. The word whole insulates an egg in its entirety. That would include the yolk. There are no yolks because this is a carton of whites. There is no way to make a whole egg out of whites alone. Does that make sense? Maybe I’m confused by the question. I hope someone can clear this up for you. I’m sure you’re measuring correctly.

ParticipantCharron you are so sweet! I got some great advice. I think Wendy is on the right track with my issues.
Good luck in this challenge and your journey.Julie Robinson
ParticipantWendy, everything you are saying makes total sense. I am an extremely regimented person. I have schedules for everything and rarely veer from them. At this point I will finish out this challenge and see what changes I can make to my nutrition on the next one.
Vicki, I’m glad you’re able to see results even though you have made adjustments to the workouts. In the fitness world and according to Nicole herself, refeeds are suggested and not mandatory. If you don’t feel ready for one or they make you feel bad you don’t have to do them. In fact Nicole recently said in one of her video chats that she doesn’t do them. At the time of the refeed in phase 1, I didn’t feel it was necessary. I do understand the importance of them at certain times. I guess I really need to look into when that time is best for me.
Naomi, Thank you for your response. My PCP sent to me to a Board Certified Integrative Medicine provider. I only recently saw her as I had to wait for a referral and then an appointment. She did more labs, I do not have those results but she also suggested that I would likely need B12 injections every 2 weeks. But she is unsure why i am not have any symptons. I am reluctant to get these shots when I don’t have any symptoms. I will ask her when is see her again if this could be the reason I may not be seeing any results. Thanks again.

ParticipantThank you Naomi…
To answer your questions
1. I last had labs done for my CPE at the end of December. Looking at the complete metabolic panel everything is in the normal range. In the category of thyroid antibodies and the cascade panel still, all in range as well as my hormone profile. The only out of range test is B12. The range is 211-946 & my total was 1192 with a marked comment stating I have 2 mutated genes that do not allow for absorbtion???? Whatever that means.2. I am always counting macros and lifting and doing some sort of cardio. I have been for 7 years. More recently I have done the past 3 challenges back to back. The constant building and leaning in short amounts of time could be an issue.
3. I am 5’2, 122 lbs, 45yrs old. No signs of menopause yet. Not sure of my body fat
4. My goal is to look like I go to the gym not just say I do…. lol.
Thanks again for any advice you might have.

ParticipantI haven’t been sick in years but I recently read an article on a fitness page that said most bodybuilders workout as ususl when they are sick from the neck up meaning, cough, cold, sore throat etc… and take a break if they are sick from the chest and lower meaning, chest congestion, chest pressure, pneumonia, stomach flu, etc… Take care of yourself. Just do what you can.

ParticipantCherifishel, I just read on here somewhere where it was mentioned that YES, we are to have the post workout meal after the accelerator. Enjoy!

ParticipantI believe we had this recipe in a previous challenge. You can blend the oat bran and eggs together and cook it a pan with the melted butter. I used Walden Farms syrup on it. Other wise it didn’t have much flavor. Good luck!

ParticipantIf you put it in the microwave for 5 to 7 minutes and then cut it, it’s so much easier to cut through. It will also take less time to cook in the oven that way. I hope you like it. There are so many things you can do with it.

ParticipantNicole,
I was able to figure it out. What is listed in the top portion on the phase 1 day 3 just doesn’t match what’s in the bottom part where you can click to watch The videos. I’m totally clear on it now.
Thank you for all of your help.

ParticipantThank you Dianne.
Below that where it describes the exercises, sets and reps it says “shoulders, tri’s and ABS”
In previous competitions Nicole has suggested we follow the workouts as listed below the overview. It’s not a huge deal…. we’ll figure it out.Good luck

ParticipantWhen my twin daughters turned 8yrs old they started riding and racing Motocross. My husband raced as well and sometimes they would all be racing at the sanetime. The first time one of my girls crashed and i had to run out on the track and pull her bike off of her I realized I needed to be much stronger. That’s when I started body building. Fast-forward 9yrs, they are now 17 and their bikes are much bigger, 240lbs. Now when have to pick up a bike or a kid, I have the strength I need.
That’s how it all started for me.Julie Robinson
ParticipantThank you for the advice. That sounds like a great combo for good energy. I appreciate your help.

ParticipantThank you Stacey and Alaine. All advice is so appreciated. I was eating 1/4 c of oatmeal before getting to the gym but it seemed to slow me down. I guess I could try a higher carb protein shake pre workout & a lower carb post workout. Maybe that will digest faster?????
