    First my name is Martha and I guess I’ll follow plan 1 as suggested given the answers we were given and see how my body responds. I’ll let you know ..

    I am also a morning person 5:00am and I need to do both cardio and weights at that time. So I am trying to figure out when to eat.

    So first meal at 5:15? and then second meal at 8:00 am which will be more less the time when I finish my workout so this will be post workout supplement and second breakfast around 40 grams of protein in one setting? I though you couldn’t digest more than 20 at one time.

    Or
    First meal after a workout with post workout supplement? Also 40 grams of protein in one sitting.

    Which one or is there another alternative?

    Hi Wendy!

    I am exactly like you. I am just 5’0 tall and turn 50 this year. I had the same concern so I am thinking about doing 1500 calories. How did I figure this out? My BMR is only 1149 I think so because we are in the muscle growth phase I am adding 350 calories. I have a sedentary job as well.

    What did you decide to do? I am curious because we are kind of in the same little boat… 🙂

    I am quite short I am only 5′ tall and currently weigh 106 pounds.
    Is the first plan Ok for me or should I reduce the calorie intake?

    My BMR is 1163 and I read that you should add between 250 and 500 calories if you are trying to gain muscle. This will make it between 1413 and 1663
