You are not the only one! I was going to post the same thing! My body wouldn’t do it even though I tried. Any way to modify this until I can do it? I just did normal squats today during that exercise.
I had the same issue and just put them in individual containers for later in the week. I like your idea of putting them in a pan and just dividing them up later. I tried putting water on my hands to form the balls and that didn’t work well either.
