ParticipantSame. None of the phase 3 links I tried are loading. Instead of loading the video, my browser resets to the home challenge page🤔

ParticipantOccasionally, I find those foods go well with big gulps of water 😛. Works like a charm …but not so appetizing, I know 😉

ParticipantThanks, Nicole! I admit, part of me was hesitant to say anything because I know I will be absolutely dying regardless of a minute or two 🙈 Just couldn’t keep quiet and know I was cheating myself. Stinking thinking be gone 👊

ParticipantHi Naomi! Thank you?

Participant…So I added everything up again to try and figure out the 35 minutes vs. 50 minutes and it looks like if the sprints are reduced to 5 rounds instead of 10 you get a 1:1 ratio and the workout is 35 minutes. Is this right?

ParticipantHi Christen ? I see what you are saying. It is just that in all of the other challenges, the times listed have added up to the total workout time; which leads me to believe something is off ?. Also wondering if the 5 minutes should be on the incline or flat? The HIIT Crazy 8’s workout is also silent on the incline level. Hmmm…

ParticipantSame here! I am dreaming and realize I am awake. It is usually between 1 and 2Am. I work out around noon. Before, I thought it might have something to do with the time change but now it makes sense.

ParticipantHi! I was reading this and I do not see on my Meal Plans where it says to drink the rest of the french toast liquid. I’m doing the 5’4″ Meal Plans. Where does it say to drink it? I have not tried this yet as I’ve been doing the oatmeal and egg whites and egg for my Meal 1. I love french toast and can’t wait to have some so please someone clear this up for me. Thank you!! Sue
You are right, it doesn’t say anywhere in the plan to drink the french toast liquid? I just mentioned that I was going to drink a portion of the almond milk in the recipe instead of adding it to the egg mixture and cooking it….to make the egg and vanilla mixture for the french toast thicker so it would cook faster….and to get all the macros. I hope this clarifies things? I would hate to confuse anyone into drinking raw egg mixtures?
nracki
Participant…egg whites in the microwave as french toast is cooking.
nracki
ParticipantI have experimented with this recipe twice so far: Once cooking the leftover egg mixture after making the french toast, and once cooking it all together. Both were tasty but I’m pressed for time and found it took a while to cook the mixture down. So next, I am going to try using just a splash of almond milk in the egg mixture…cook all of that liquid…and then drink the remaining almond milk. Whatever it takes to keep that banana ?

ParticipantThanks, Naomi! I was hoping for peppers?
nracki
ParticipantWhen it says “mixed vegetables”, which specific vegetables should I use for meal plan 3. I can’t seem to find this info written anywhere. Thanks?
nracki
ParticipantOh, thanks Miriam! Where did you find that info in the plan? Can’t seem to find it??

ParticipantThank you, Maureen!

ParticipantHi everyone! I am a parole examiner in the Boston, Ma area and have four children (13,11 & 9yr.old twins). This is my second NW challenge and I am so excited for this one! I am in the car a lot and the challenge workouts and meal plans take the guess work out of my routines so I can make the most out of my days on the road and off. I love a challenge and believe that having goals helps me keep everything in balance. All the best to everyone in the upcoming weeks!

ParticipantMaybe not the most environmentally conscious way of prepping, but I have a large family and have no room in my fridge for all of the containers I would need. So, I measure my protiens/squash/sweet potatoes/rice out and put them in little plastic baggies. I keep two or three fresh bags in the fridge and put the rest in the freezer (except for the rice). After the three are gone, I take out the ones for the next day at night and let them thaw in the fridge. I like to eat out of glass containers instead of plastic (when possible) so I will grab the bags for the day, throw them in a cooler and break them out as the day goes. My prep rotates over the entire week and I replenish as needed (I am in the kitchen for the kiddos anyway and can prep at the same time, usually ?).

ParticipantI put them in a bowl and throw them in the microwave for a minute, stir, then microwave again (on and off) until done. Somtimes it takes only 30 seconds or 45 seconds more. Cooking time varies with the microwave and the amount of egg. Just make sure to keep an eye on them so they don’t explode ?

ParticipantThanks! I haven’t done this yet, but I was thinking of crushing the rice cakes up and mixing them with water and protein powder to make a crispy pudding…like a rice crispies pudding? Not sure if the ratios would come together for that…but I have four weeks to figure it out ?
nracki
ParticipantIf you put less water in your protein shake you can make a “frosting”. Chocolate protein powder works well. Then you can wash down the rest with your extra water ?
nracki
ParticipantI swear by my cast iron grill pan ?
nracki
ParticipantThanks! Hurts so good ?
nracki
ParticipantNice.
Thanks, Maureen!nracki
Participant…it seems to me it would be helpful in the challenge to have this information, to quantify the steps rate.
All other cardio is given a specific rate (RPM for spin bike instead of gears, MPH value for treadmill, etc.).
If you are in the process of checking, thanks! 🙂
