Hi Laura, I am not sure how Nicole cooks hers, but can get mine somewhat “crispy” when I use a cast iron skillet on medium plus, with a little Pam or olive oil (a dab, just enough to keep it from sticking) and cook it until it is well done. Sometimes I use a little creole seasoning. I love it this way with some baked sweet potato, steamed green beans and an avocado slice.

Hi Jamie, congrats on your new journey into motherhood! I am a mom of four and during my last two pregnancies I was placed on strict bed rest at 26.5 weeks until 36 weeks. One of those months I spent in a hospital under close supervision. I can tell you that I was/am very vigilant about my level of fitness and it was very challenging at first. I am not sure the circumstances of your prescribed bed rest, but my circumstances left no choice for me but to completely adhere to doctor’s orders. Every day, my motivation to achieve the best outcome for my child helped me to stay focused despite the difficulty of being so limited. It wasn’t easy once the babies came and I had to spring back into being so active. But let me tell you, it happens, and before you know it three months have gone by (walking hills with a loaded carriage can be harder than it appears) and bed rest is far behind you (pushing it back with every workout). For me, honestly, breastfeeding helped to level things off quite a bit…torches calories. It sounds like you have a great fitness plan and know what you need to do once the baby comes. You will get there! There is no doubt in my mind that you will be able achieve the level of fitness you are used to if that is what you are focused on. Hope this helps. Best of luck to you!!!
