Hi Nicole,
I just competed in my first figure competition 10/17/15. I placed 4th of 6 in the Tall class. I am 5’10” and weighed 135 at show time. I was quite disappointed with my placing. I received the judges sheets via email…. The only male judge placed me 6th overall and wrote “looks good.” The next judge placed me 2nd overall and wrote, “nice overall symmetry, nice presentation :).” The third judge placed me 4th overall and wrote, “nice overall symmetry, leaner, build more muscle.” The fourth judge placed me 4th overall and wrote, “practice holding poses longer, great suit color, work on shoulder caps.” The fifth judge placed me 5th and wrote nothing. The sheets also showed the comments on the other competitors. The two that took 2nd and 3rd had a lot of comments on posing better and needing more muscle. I’m just a little frustrated at how subjective it was. Any advice on on dealing with the frustration? Any advice on workouts based on this feedback?
Thanks
