ParticipantTotally relate with you Nicole! Sugar is my weakness. Fruit is starting to help and taste delicious which helps me not go back to the processed crap. So it’s nice to start actually enjoying the taste of fruit again. For me I need to be 100% away from the bad stuff because I can’t just have 1 gummy bear etc. don’t know if that helps but know you are not alone!

ParticipantHey guys,
How are we all doing after the first few days? I’m doing pretty well. It’s very empowering to be fully off processed sugars. My face looks
Less “puffy” already ha. I’m down a ton of weight. I’ve noticed that the quality and intensity of workouts are much better because of the better fuel I am now putting into my body. Looking forward to hearing from everyone else!Roy

ParticipantHi Suzie, good luck! Victoria Bc is literally my favorite place in the world. One day the dream is to live there part of the year and my current home Jupiter, Fl. The remainder. I’m envious!

ParticipantGot it thanks Naomi

ParticipantQuestion for you Naomi, have you ever added a little bit of raw honey to them? Would this be something that would be ok? I think a little raw honey added to the mix would make them even more delicious and even satisfy my world famous huge sweet tooth. I’m on day 11 without a soda or any processed sugar and feel good, but something like this sure could
Help some if/when the cravings come on.RoyK

ParticipantMan I am feeling lame! People keep asking me on this forum to add them on fb, mfp, or instgram. I must be one of the last remaining people who have not logged on to social media yet!
RoyK
ParticipantGood for you Rebecca! I really wish I could do what you are doing, but I am not quite there yet!

ParticipantNice to meet you Mike! I’m really trying to focus on diet with this challenge. I think this is the “nudge” I need to start eating clean.
Also it was a surprise to see as an active guy in my 30’s who doesn’t drink or smoke that when I recently went to the doctor she said I had high cholesterol and it was diet based. I am hoping to solve that issue with diet changes, as well!
RoyK
ParticipantHi Lisa, good luck in the challenge! Your positivity is contagious!

ParticipantHey guys!
So I’m always curious to know how, why, and when people started training?
What’s your motivation? How old were you when began this amazing lifestyle? Why is fitness apart of your life and how has it changed your life as a whole? What are your goals?I started training in the gym when I was 14 (I’m currently 20). I am motivated by myself and my progress, by my dad, by Olympia, and by the people who tell me that I ‘can’t’…
Fitness helps me function on a day-to-day basis and without it I feel lost. Some days it is for my body, and some days it is for my mind and soul. My goals are to compete in figure/Physique and to climb as high as I can in the sport – Honestly, I want to stand on that Olympia stage one day!Hi Courtney, that is an amazing goal! Starting as young as you did/are, I can definitely see you achieving your dreams! Good luck

ParticipantIn my case I had been distance running for a while…. competing in races and eventually became bored and wanted to try something new (especially upon hitting 30). I feel in love with lifting and especially mixed lifting and cardio sessions, but recently my diet has slipped and have become really bulky… I’m kind of starting to miss my lean 180 pound day and really want to find a middle point, which is a big reason I am trying this challenge.

ParticipantGood luck everyone…good idea following each others progress but I do not have an Instagram…old school with no social media (besides a LinkedIn)… so these message boards will have to serve as community for me!

ParticipantHi Sandra, nice to meet you. I am in the same exact boat as you. Workouts have been going really well especially my gains in strength training over the last year or two, but my diet has continued to get worse and now that I am approaching my mid 30’s, my diet is definitely starting to catch up with me, even with workouts going well. I, like you, am hoping this challenge will hold me accountable and keep me on track with my diet. Good luck! -Roy

ParticipantHi Everyone, my name is Roy Kaplan and I am a PHD student at Florida Atlantic University. I think this challenge is just what I need! Although, it’ll definitely be difficult to stop eating all the sugary items I have come to love! I am hoping we can all lean on each other during the tough times….and the good ones! Best of luck everyone!
