Thanks so much for asking this question! I also do 12 hour night shifts, though I have an hour commute and rarely get out on time so the day gets long pretty easily. This week was really trial and error. I wasn’t able to get all my meals in one of my shifts because we were just too busy. I was fine that day but the next I was ravenous and caught myself randomly reaching for snacks without even processing what I was doing out of old habits. I rotate from nights for work and then onto days for my family. My schedule is never the same days. It’ll take us time, and possibly more than a challenge or two (for me anyways) to really get a good process down and find out what works best for our schedules. Good Luck!
