ParticipantWhere does it say egg whites?
shelleygaudet
ParticipantYes but if you look at the recipe macros it says 15g per serving.

ParticipantIf you just go by percentages it will be dependent on total calories consumed so could be all over the map. For instance if you are aiming for 30% of calories from carbs and you only eat 1000 total calories you would only eat 75g of carbs whereas if you ate 2000 calories then your carb grams would be 150 so would make a huge difference.

ParticipantHi Maureen and Jenean,
Okay I get you. I am very familiar with reading labels but I guess I assumed that all of the true Ezekiel bread had similar macros. I have the raisin cinnamon one so most likely it is the raisin bumping up the carbs. I think my thought to just eat one slice or even 1.5 slices was the way to go. I went back on myfitnesspal and I am entering everything and making sure my brands are exact to the macros. I want to succeed.shelleygaudet
ParticipantThanks Maureen. I have gone back on my fitness pal and am ensuring everything is exact.
Thanks for the pep talk!shelleygaudet
ParticipantHi,
I had asked on a previous post about just eating 1 slice and was told to eat 2.shelleygaudet
Participantlol you are ‘punny’. I guess I’m just used to looking and feeling a lot leaner. I didn’t want to wait too long and then be disappointed with the end results.

ParticipantHi Jenean,
My bread is Ezekiel as directed?shelleygaudet
ParticipantOkay. Perhaps Nicole could answer? I plugged in the 2 slices of bread, 1 oz avocado and 2 oz tuna and got 42g carbs, 12.5g of fat and 23.5g of protein. This is without the cheese? Adding the cheese would up my fat and protein and my calories would be 100 over the 306 they are supposed to be which would make a difference on my day? I’m supposed to be 30g carbs, 10g fat and 24g of protein totally 306 calories.

ParticipantI feel the same way. My weight has not changed and my clothes are not looser.
I feel to have any kind of shot I need to drop 10 pounds which seems like a lot in Phase 2. Is there some point where I should consider dropping calories early? I am happy with the food, strength is good, energy levels (both have always been that way though) but I can feel all of those things on 100 calories less too and perhaps see more results. I just don’t want to wait too long. This is not only a contest but I am hitting the beach at the end of the challenge so want to be prepared for that also.shelleygaudet
ParticipantYes! I work out regularly normally but after being away a week on vacay and not used to do 5 straight days of strength training I was literally dragging my butt around yesterday and feel sore everywhere. Feeling more pumped up but soft and fluffy at the same time. Can’t wait for my body to adjust to the extra calories and start losing.
