My question is how long before I see that mid-line split between my chest muscles? I have been weight training 5-6 days a week for around 16 months. I train chest once a week; bench press, incline bench press, incline and flat dumbbell flyes and occasional cable crossovers (not all on the same day). I lift heavy for 8 – 10 reps and occasionally up to 12 reps. I have good chest muscle but appear flat in the middle below the clavicle. Have you got any advice to target the mid-line area or do I simply need to be more patient?
