ParticipantI had PRP and PRF treatment for the left leg tear, it is injury from 5 years ago but still painful, did PT as well. The recent right leg tear is about 4 months old, rest, ice, heat, PT and seeing Dr next week for possible PRF treatment, the inflammation from bursitis and tendonitis is ongoing for years. I get professionals stretching and massage every 2 weeks.

ParticipantThanks Naomi. To answer your questions.
Yes I’m working with a coach, same person since I started this since 2014, he knows me and my body response well, he is stumped.Yes, my hormones checked regularly by my Dr. I do have low thyroid and take medication for this, I know my cortisol levels are crazy, always have been, per saliva testing by Dr, despite that in the past preps weight loss hasn’t been an issue. I haven’t competed since August. I usually do only 1 or 2 a 12 month period. My sleep sux, always has.

ParticipantHi Nicole. I’m 50 and just started competing in figure shows atb48 in 20014. I have been in fitness since I was 14, am a personal trainer and nutritional coach, so fitness is my passion and life. I have been pretty successful so far in competitions, last year placing 1st in the NC MidAtlantic Championships in Masters, 1st SC State show and Grand Prix (Masters) and the Open categories. I’m so bummed I will be out of town competing in the Borderclash in March when you are here in Simpsonville ?
Anyway, just wondering if and when you start fasted cardio prior to a show? I did very little cardio my last show because I was so lean due to being so busy with work and clients. My challenge was actually keeping weight on and on getting too lean. I’m 5’3 weigh about 115 show day. But my legs still need improvement so I was adding that in along with sprints more this time.
