Hi, I cook mine on a 8 mini loaf pan, cooked at 350 for a hour and came out pretty good plus solve my problem in cutting in equal size.
    This is my second time….

How long did you have to cook it for individually? Was it similar? I JUST realized I had a Pampered Chef mini loaf pan that has 8 spots I’m going to try this week.

Hey there! I think I’m off to the store soon too. I feel a little overwhelmed thinking about meal prepping because I have a busy Sunday ahead of me. I’m hoping I can convince my hubs to do a good chunk of it while I’m away and then finish it up. I’m hoping next weekend won’t feel so daunting. It also could be that I just haven’t meal prepped in ages lol. I keep telling myself this is good for me.

The recipe calls for Ground Turkey and Ground Beef. Just making sure this is correct and not an error. Thanks

I plan on using both in the recipe. I think it’ll help it taste more like a meatloaf by using the ground beef.

I did summer shred last year and the calories and macros are all the same- can we swap some of those meals in?[/quote

I noticed that as well! I plan on swapping some of the old means throughout the challenge when I get a little tired of the ones listed. I LOVED the one breakfast one that had potatoes and spinach last time. I was so excited to know I didn’t have to fiddle with the ingredients any and can enjoy it again!

I saw the same thing. I was thinking about trying their beyond meat crumbles or something in that realm. When I get to trying that one, I was going to calculate it into my fitness pal to see if it would come close to the same macros and go from there.

You may want to still plug the salad and etc into something like MyFitnessPal. Just because lettuce seems to be a freebie it still has things like carbs. You can always plug the info in and it could fit within the macros she gives for each meal. I remember last year on Summer Shred there was a big ole salad we could eat as part of the meal plan.

I sometimes will take my frozen meal out the freezer and take it with me in my lunch box. It’s still partially frozen when I heat it up so I just put extra time on it. Still works out and tastes good 🙂

I roast mine in the oven with the skins on and eat them with the skins 🙂

You can always start following the food plan and then jump into the workouts next week. Well you could do some workout this week or get the cardio in.

I mean really it’s up to you on how you want to jump into it. You could jump into the week and just miss the first two days. I burned my hands Sunday while prepping and so I’m probably skipping the workouts this week and starting on Monday (Which is a super bummer, but I don’t want to have my blister bust while lifting or get ripped off). I have been following the meal plan though because I figured if I couldn’t work out, I could at least have the nutrition on point.

Yes, a 5 second negative is a 5 second count as the bar goes down to your chest.

Would you do this move for each of the reps then? I was thinking of doing this with a spotter on a normal bench, but if I had to do the negative each time down then I may go to the smith machine (plus it may be open since everyone does chest on Monday’s). Just double checking before Monday.

    Nicole,
So if I am understanding right… if I wanted to eat meal 1 option 1 4x a day, I could do that? And then meal 5 would be the post workout meal?
    Thanks so much!

Pretty much from what I’ve understood from all the challenges I’ve done. You could eat the same meal option 4x a day, then your meal 5/post workout is the different one.

I’m sure someone will be on shortly from her team to answer this for sure, but typically they say to go based off your height. I find that I see better results going off of my height rather than weight.

I would say essentially yes if you make 4 pancakes from the batter. You could make 8 pancakes from the batter with each serving being 2 pancakes. So 1 1/2 servings would be 3 pancakes…if that makes sense. lol I just sat here trying to think of fractions and how to make this easier. I think I’ll be planning on trying to get 8 pancakes from the batter so I feel like I’m eating more.

I would say maybe try like a stevia or some kind of natural sweetener that doesn’t add calories, but just don’t go overboard with it. I agree you don’t want to take it out completely because it is in there for the macro counts.

Thanks! Maybe I’ll try googling it. Haha I may cave and buy a scale then have a backup.

That makes the calories and fat way higher than it mentions for the each meal break down.. I’m just wondering as well. Haha if it’s supposed to be I’ll keep it up lol

That definitely would make more sense as well. I think phase 3 is 2 teaspoons of olive oil. So it would make sense for it to be 2 teaspoons as well. Haha hopefully we’ll find out! I may do 2 teaspoons and see what the macro breakdown is in a bit.

Thank you!!ill give the smith machine a try! Idk why but it always seems to happen when I do push-ups. Definitely going to give it a go next week 🙂

Any other moves besides a push up that we can do? I mean I know the bench press is basically it or dumb bell bench press but I’d just be doing that a lot. I can already feel the pain in my hand coming from my wrist doing the push ups. Haha my poor body hates me. I just didn’t know if there was any other options besides just double up bench options.

So I made it last night and took it with me to work and yeah..not so much a fan. I think it was the texture throwing me. I def. want to try it fresh and see what it’s like (I haven’t done that yet). I may just take the ingredients or mix it all up and take it with then when I’m ready to cook it do it at that time.

in reply to: sub almond milk for hemp milk? #167520

Actually unsweetened hemp milk has 0 carbs. So if did use almond milk you could double the ratio (which could make less thick), have 5 grams fat (vs 4.5) 2 g carbs (vs 0) and 2 G protein (vs 3). And the calories are a match between the two. So the macros would be off a little bit. I may still give it a go since I don’t think I’ll be able to find hemp and I am intrigued to try this recipe. That was just my findings though.

Maybe that was my issue. I baked at 275 but they never browned or raised really. They seem to be done though..
