ParticipantI will say that I am on day 6 today since I had to start on the weekend to get a jumpstart as to not hinder myself, and the first 3 days were torture trying to eat everything. Now they are going down with no problem hahaha… I’m just glad there is no workout today and tomorrow for me! ;0 By day 5 workout I was EXHAUSTED! Slept 9 hours last night to recover!

ParticipantGreat question! I’m concerned about HIIT too because I did exactly what you did with the 8mph for 30sec 12 rounds and it was in ‘peak’ the entire time. I tried the stair climber and it lingered in Cardio too long around 147bpm, yet I thought I was going to die lol. I’m interested in the answer to this question for those of us that have a heart rate monitor what should we aim for during the 30 minutes?

ParticipantHey Jessica! I’m 39 as well and will be 40 in 8 months and promised myself not to turn 40 feeling like I had the past 2-3 years!!! You can do this! We women are strong and even though you are working night shifts you will get it done because you already conquered becoming a nurse!! You got this!

ParticipantAm I suppose to eat the skin inside? I have never eaten it before so I kind of suck the grapefruit off the piece of skin and toss the skin hahahaha

ParticipantI will say, today is day 4 for me as I had to push the start date up and was sooo ready for my dinner last night and ate every bite. So it does get easier to eat! I’m sure Phase 2 the topic will be “I’m Starving!!” hahaha

ParticipantThanks Laura! Today was slightly easier and I can’t believe I’m saying this but 2 hrs after my 3rd meal I was hungry. 😂😂I’m on day 3 and someone else who competes said don’t get use to it as you will wish you had all that food. Lol. All about the mind again and the thoughts! 😁

ParticipantAnd I did weights this morning and didn’t have time to do HIIT as my hubby goes to gym before 8 as well (so we have to split the morning shift with kids)… tried to do HIIT at lunch and could tell I suck wind if there is food in my gut… we will all figure this out soon. ;0

ParticipantHey folks!! I actually started this on Saturday just for sanity purposes and to get myself in the ‘zone’ for the work week and the kids going back to school!!! I’ve spent the last 10 weeks in the gym and cleaning up my food just so I wouldn’t zonk out on this challenge lol. I had lost my mother self there for a while so I’m stoked to be doing this!!! I’m in Southeast Georgia, but lived in Jersey the first 34 years of my life Jessica! ;0 LOOKING FORWARD to this forum for support!
