In this full-length ab workout I perform a giant set – four exercises back-to-back, with no rest until completing the fourth exercise of the giant set. Similar to circuit training, giant sets are a great way to change up your workout, keep your heart rate up and keep things interesting while saving time. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Log in to reply90lbs here
Log in to replyUsually around 90-100lbs
Log in to replyAwesome ab workout! Not sure I could even get halfway through the first set without dying but I’ll be trying! Love this since abs tend to be “boring” or at least it feels that way to me sometimes. V-ups are brutal!
Log in to replyYes they are!! Ugh we used to have to do so many of them as a gymnast.
Log in to replyOMGosh you freaking motivate me…I cant wait to kill my abbs!!
Log in to replyAwesome ab workout and I will be trying this tomorrow after my cardio at the gym…going for the gold. Thanks Nicole for sharing your workouts with us.
Log in to replyWhich Nike shoes are those? I have way too many pairs but I’m asking any way! 🙂
Thanks for sharing the ab videos.
Log in to replyThey are Nike Lunarglide 🙂
Log in to replyYour abs look like a muscular mannequin! What I mean by that is they are so tight and defined that they look too perfect to be real HAHA! I’m going to start working abs again. I was not happy with them at my show. Nicole Wilkins abs here I come 🙂
Log in to replyHey Nicole! Awesome ab workout!! My abs got tired just watching, ha-ha! 🙂 So I was wondering, do you still incorporate gymnastic style boot-camp workouts into your routine like you did in your “Pursuing A Dream” DVD? Do you still do yoga too? I struggle with fitting yoga into my weekly routine plus I am a former dancer so I try to take one dance class a week but fitting all different types of training in on a regular basis is a challenge. Also would love to know which Nike shoes those are too!! 🙂
Log in to replyFantastic, ab workout! i’ll have to give it a go, thanks for the video!!
How often do you work your abs, and how often do you do giant sets?
Log in to replyGreat Ab workout video! It’s great to get a full spectrum view to hit all angles of the abs/obliques. Thanks!
Log in to replyIt’s so eery that you post stuff exactly when I need it! I have been in need of a new advanced intense ab combo, and this looks great! I only wonder about the oblique crunches, as I know this video is intended for general use and inspiration. I was wanting to inquire about these when in contest prep for figure, as generally speaking, working the obliques makes the waist look thicker and that isn’t at all what I am going for. I tend to stick to all over core work but never specifically target the obliques. Is this approach okay for me (because it’s just body weight) or should I stick to straight hanging leg curls? Thanks Nicole! Regardless, I’m stoked to try this out!!
Log in to replyThanks for the abspiration for today’s workout, Nicole! LOL – I could knock out only 12 of the hanging knee raises before my grip and arms gave out. I also did the weighted crunch wrong (I knew it felt way too easy, so I must be doing it wrong – I was facing the opposite way -so I think I worked my back instead!) V-ups SUCK in a good way!
Log in to replyAwesome Ab workout!! I was wondering if there is a difference with facing the cables or away from them with the cable crunches?
Log in to replyI’ve never done it the other way….
Log in to replyThanks so much for the awesome ab workout!!! Can’t wait to give it a shot tomorrow. Quick question: how many times a week would you repeat this? I am trying to build up my abs so, just curious. Thank you!
Log in to replyI train my abs 3-4x a week. It is not always the same workout
Log in to replyHey Nicole on the rope crunches I heard that if you use to much weight it can cause your abs to stick out instead of become firm,,,,,,,any truth to that? Watching you for the lat three years I would say the answer to that would be no. Thanks
Log in to replyJust joined and so glad I did !!!! You inspire me, just lost 52 pounds and muscles starting to show. This is great for me to stay motivated. Your awesome !
Log in to replyThank for posting your ab workout! I find it almost comforting that you have difficultly with ab workouts too! Thanks for the video so much!!!
Log in to replyLOL it never gets easier, you just get better and when you get better, you have to push yourself harder!
Log in to replyI have trouble with hanging crunches or pullups my wrists just cant take it would this be as good if I use a captain chair or the arm slings thanks
Log in to replyYes either of those options would work too
Log in to replyThese giant sets are brutal ! You look amazing still
Log in to replyWhat is your goal now thAt you won 4x? How is your diet changing?
Amazing ab workout Nicole…burned 🙂
Log in to replyWhere can I ask this? I love your makeup , especially your eyes in your fitnessrx and q n a videos. Can you share some of what you wear for makeup and tips
Log in to replyThank you! I have never been huge with makeup- but I love doing eyes. I usually wear MAC eyeshadow and Maybelline gel eyeliner.
Log in to replyI cant wait to throw this in at the end of the workouts!!!
Log in to replyHey Nicole!
Log in to replyJust saw a picture u posted of your new clothing line. I love those pants. I am always looking for pants/capris I can wear to work and the gym without changing over my lunch break. When will they be out? Thanks for all of the videos : )
Hey Nicole. While your training for a comp or even off season what generally is your split routine. Just curious if you train shoulders or back twice a week. I know you hit glutes twice a week from your video. Which is amazing by the way. Thank you.
Log in to replyHi Nicole, I saw you for the first time on TV here in NZ watching Olympia a few weeks ago. You are an inspiration for me (at 50) who wishes I started this sport seriously a lot sooner! I love abs and love this work out. So thrilled to have found your website. Tanya
Log in to replyOH my! I did this the other day and my abs are still mad at me! Great ab workout!
Log in to replyGreat ab workout Nicole! Thanks for always sharing your workouts and demonstrating proper technique!
Log in to replyGreat Video Nicole!! I’m not as advanced fitness wise but I hope to work up to doing your abs workout with the v ups and hanging leg raise. Loved your print n go workout and cant wait till there is the full week routine that I can put together and use. I workout with basic equipment at home and I love to see the proper techniques!! I am curious, what’s the benefits of doing two parts to your workout? ie shoulders and abs, tri’s and gluts, biceps and quads? At the moment I am separately training shoulders, tri’s, and biceps on 3 consecutive days and then doing abs and quads, then back and gluts on the other two days and having two days rest over the weekend. Does training two parts every day of the week simply mean your able to train some things twice in the week? Also what are some good guidelines for using a heart rate monitor. Do you use one? I am able to sync mine to my digifit app to monitor my heart rate zones (warm up/aerobic/anaerobic/vo2max) and calculate calories burned. Then this also syncs to my fitness pal which uses it to calculate your recommended caloric intake for that day. Is this ok? or should I just listen to my body, focus on eating portioned healthy meals and doing my workouts in order to lose weight? I am a stay at home mum with 3 little boys with about 10 kg + to lose. Age 33, 155cm tall, 73kg, moderately fit, working out 5 days, 30 min fasted cardio, 30 min to 1 hr weights a day after breakfast. Aprox 1700 cal per day intake if I monitor it. Normal macro split.
