Hey guys, I’m super-excited to share this with you: last week I crossed the finish line in my first-ever triathlon! What an amazing feeling. It was a great reward after months of training.
I’ve always said it’s good to get out of your comfort zone to challenge yourself, and this was definitely outside of mine. Here are highlights from the entire weekend; from my prep the day before, to the actual swim, run, and bike ride. It was quite an experience and I’m really happy I got to share the lessons I learned on my journey with all of you.
I will definitely do another one in the future. And I got 2nd in my age group! 🙌
Congratulations Nicole!! Second-place in your first triathlon! I am so proud to be a member on your website, you are such an inspiration, you are an amazing person, don’t ever change!

Log in to replyKnew you could do it! You have now officially been bitten by the triathlon bug. I started small and ended up on the Ironman start line. Will look for you there in about 3 years!
Log in to replyHa! I don’t know if I can even wrap my head around that.
Log in to replyThis video really made me smile, Nicole.
Watching you train for this goal over the past several months has motivated me to learn how to swim, actual proper swimming strokes, in 2019. 🙂 I connected with a swim coach this week and am set to start the first week of January with lessons. It’s never too late to learn something new..
Really cool to see you do this…Thanks for sharing your journey with others! Congrat’s!

Log in to replyVERY COOL. Congrats. These can be real fun and addictive! I’ve done a ton of these, and trained both beginners for all events of sprints as well as ironman competitions for their swim training. Have fun!
Log in to replyI’m training for my first full marathon and watching you train for and achieve this goal that is SO opposite of what you’ve trained for in the past has been beyond inspiring! I had tears watching this and butterflies right along with you before the start! Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us and congratulations on your well earned 2nd place finish! I’ll probably watch this again before my race as a reminder that you can achieve those things you never dreamed you would. Much respect!
