Wow, the first half of 2025 is almost over. It is hard to believe how fast the first few months of the new year flies by when you’re striving to achieve some long-standing physique (and health) goals, right?
READY FOR SUMMER
In just a few short months, we will be heading into May. The cold temps and snow will be long gone, and you will have had four months of New Year’s resolution progress (hopefully!) under your belt, just in time to show off at the beach if that is what you were aiming and working hard for.
INCHING TOWARDS PROGRESS
Maybe you had some lofty goals for this year that you embarked on January 1st but “life got in the way.” Or maybe you hit some mental or physical road blocks and haven’t quite been able to get back on track and get into a good, structured routine just yet.
GET ON IT
Guess what? It’s OK. It’s ok if you didn’t start this year off the way you’d hoped, and it’s ok that you may not have made as much progress as you’d like towards your goals by now. It’s ok if you have been taking one step forward and two steps back, or feel kind of all over the place. You don’t need a January 1st date, or even a Monday day of the week to start CRANKING IT UP!
COUNTDOWN TO SUMMER
Now is a GREAT time to start dialing in your nutrition, setting a structured workout routine and committing wholeheartedly to healthier habits that can lead you to a fitter you by summer. Here are some things you can do:
1. Sign up for the next Nicole Wilkins Transformation Challenge Which will provide an all-encompassing structured fitness program, complete with detailed workouts, exercise demo videos, exercise modifications and alternatives, detailed cardio calendar, cardio workout examples, cardio duration/frequency and target HR goals, detailed nutrition with meal plans, recipes, grocery list and food exchange list, plus support, accountability and expertise available for you.
2. Hire A Coach/Trainer Sign up for a 12-week package with one of the amazing trainers on the NW Fitness Team who can help you set realistic goals, give you detailed workouts with specific exercises, cardio and detailed, specific, personalized nutrition to help you reach those goals, as well as provide weekly structure, accountability, support and progress tracking.
3. Find An Accountability Buddy Or Group If you are flying solo, it is much easier to fall off the wagon, or not be as motivated to do all the things required to reach your goals. Having an accountability buddy or group, especially if there are some friendly competitions, or weekly prizes, or some type of incentive to keep you looking forward to your workouts or healthy nutrition regime.
Don’t think just because you haven’t made much progress since January 1st that all is lost for this year. But you can really start kicking things in to high gear now! Do something different, something that will give you more of a chance at success like any of the above suggestions.
See what kind of progress you can make in over the next few months so you can be proud of what you’ve accomplished when summer rolls around. It will be here before we know it!
