You can use a barbell or a stability ball— grip barbell with straight arms just like this video shows with the ab wheel and roll out or put forearms on ball and roll out.
I’m with you. We can do ab walkouts starting in a standing position: standing, hands to floor with legs mostly straight, then walk your hands out to a plank and then back up. Better for us with all those issues.
