Hey guys, I’m back with another Target Training video and this time we’re focusing on an area of the midsection that doesn’t get the same attention as abs: the obliques.
These are the muscles on the sides of your midsection and although they are involved in abdominal movements like crunches, leg raises, etc., it’s a good idea to do direct work for them so that all of your midsection muscles are developed proportionately.
This workout will be four movements that involve twisting to really engage the obliques.
Bicycles
Roman Chair Twist
Plank Twist
Woodchopper
Hello! Thanks for this video and the information in it. I just joined the site so I am not sure about all the content but was wondering if you can do a video on training the chest. This is one area where I don’t notice activation…I mainly feel my arms getting tired. If you have any tips on how to engage the chest I would appreciate it! Thanks!
Log in to replyHey! Welcome to the members section! If you use the searchbar at the top and put ‘chest’ you will find tons of them 🙂
Log in to replygreat review! This is an area I struggle with. Thank you.
Log in to replyHi Nicole, I just did the Plank Twist last night! I enjoy the stretch and the contraction that you get out of that one! I was wondering if you could do another “Day in the Life of Meals” video sometime. I enjoy those.
Log in to replyFor target training. I know it’s important to work all parts of the shoulder but I’d really like to achieve more fullness in the front to have that pretty, round look. I’d love to see your favorite/top exercises to grow that area.
Log in to replyI second this!
Log in to replyGreat exercises! How about a focus on quadriceps only
Log in to replyGreet video!!! I am doing these once a week! Ok I know this is overall body fat reduction but the fat right above the KNEES!!! omg it drives me crazy!! I have a nice quad sweep and hamstrings but that fat right above the knees is super stubborn!! HALP!
